It's been a busy one, that's for sure. I've not written a chapter, a paragraph, or even a sentence in this story of ours since six days ago. With work, family stuff, and life itself sometimes being busy, there's not enough time to write. So, I jot down some notes of what I need to write as time allows, then I write. Yesterday,...

Today, we have a new lockscreen! The verse we're sharing for thought today is 1 John 4:4, and here is a lockscreen to go along with it. You can save the lockscreen below. Enjoy! :) ...

The frogs are starting to make sounds outside of our windows. This makes me anxious for Spring. This weekend we've celebrated a friend's birthday, and we've had time with family and friends. I've read and had extra big cups of coffee. I've taken photos with this girl. And, I've even made Sunday dinner. On the menu was: pork chops, mac and cheese, baked...

It's been a busy place at our home this week. The kids finally went back to school from their snow break. Which meant Troy finally got to have his Valentine's Day party and dance. Today I worked, did laundry, grocery shopped, and cleaned. Bree has been preparing for a competition. Justin had a business trip out of town. It's been a busy week,...

I've still not quite gotten over the fact I had to wear boots (instead of flip flops) this week when traveling back and forth from our house to our building to do laundry. The snow is beautiful, but I'm definitely looking forward to Spring. At least the snow didn't keep the kids from going to school today. Life is starting to return to...

Yep, it's Tuesday. While we planned to make it to the gym yesterday, it didn't happen. We just had too much on the agenda, but that's okay. We had time with each other and the blessings of this journey called life, and we're grateful. In fact, there are even some more photos I got yesterday of life as it happened, that I think...

Good Monday Morning! It snowed. I'm off from work (due to it being a holiday), and the kids are off from school (due to the snow). We're going to have spaghetti for dinner, and later today I'm going to hit the gym with my husband. It's gonna be a great one of those days! This is usually exactly my thoughts on a Monday...

We woke her up with a gift bag full of Valentine's Day goodies. She now has chocolate galore, new earrings, and a snazzy new cup that says "Hello, Awesome," (and she really is that, awesome)! I even carried coffee to her while she was still laying in bed, we sat and talked about teenage stuff...the new magazine she got, Rachel Platten's music, and...
So, Sunday is Valentine's Day. It's the day we are supposed to celebrate love, although love should be celebrated all year long (and the people I share life with try to do just that...celebrate our love for one another all year long). So, anyhow, today, I write. I write what's on my heart and what's on my mind and I seal it up...

Today, we feel like giving you all a new lockscreen. The verse we're sharing for thought today is Psalm 13:5, and here is a lockscreen to go along with it. You can save the lockscreen below. Enjoy! :) ...

It has been snowing on and off here since Monday. While I'm really, really, really looking forward to Spring and warmer weather, I'm choosing to still take in all of the beauty that Winter offers. If we just pause and take a look around in the quiet of Winter it's amazing at the beauty that surrounds us with the cold temperatures and the...

Our son has the stomach virus, so we're spending the day at home to take care of him. While we're missing church, he is laying on the couch while I'm pouring into the Lord's Word. We'll watch the Super Bowl. We will take good care of our boy, and we'll relax at home. ...

Yesterday, as we were sitting in the living room, our son playing on his tablet, he asked me, "Mom, why does everyone take everything so seriously?" My response was asking him what he meant. "Why can't everyone just have fun instead of taking everything so seriously," he continued. I explained to him that sometimes things were really important while other things may not...

I think maybe! By the way, yummy goodness is happening in our kitchen this evening. Stir fry (beef, green bell peppers, and onions), broccoli and cheese, baked sweet potatoes, and these awesome spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms. Happy Monday! ...
