Sometimes, while outside (or almost anywhere, really), I like to take my camera and just photograph what I notice. The other day I was outside, and I noticed these thorns, and took a picture of them. I honestly think of Jesus during the Crucifixion when I see thorns.
And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe.
John 19:2 (ESV)
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
John 19:2 (KJV)
Below is another verse I've read about thorns. After all that Jesus has did for me, God has given me such great gifts in my life, I don't want to be a thornbush. I want to be one that has good "fruit."
for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush.
Luke 6:44 (ESV)
For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
Luke 6:44 (KJV)
