Today, admist the piles of laundry left undone, the hole in our yard, the dirt dug up to fix a leak, the piles of stuff needing to be done, I'm thankful. Yes, I'm thankful for the clothes that are dirty...they mean our family has clothes to wear (and once this leak is finished later today these dirty clothes will be clean once again)....
This day has been rough! I've went about my day just like any other normal day. I've worked, made dinner, took care of the needs of my family, but it's been rough! And...as Mother's Day gets closer, it seems the days get even harder. I put on my smile, and I'm a happy person, for the most part. There are times though that...
Children's Church today! Bre did an awesome job helping me with the kids in there today. We watched a video, made paper origami hearts to go along with the verse we were studying about trusting the Lord with all of our heart. Proverbs 3:5,6 were what we studied today. We also used S.O.A.P. journals for these verses. S.O.A.P stands for Scripture, Observation, Application,...

Sometimes, these are the moments I cherish the most out of the whole day. I love starting my day this way. I say my morning prayers, crawl out of bed, get ready for the day, and before we head out the door to work and school...we take a few minutes just to talk. We talk about our day ahead, what's happened during the...

This weekend we went to Washington County Park Campgrounds and had our first camping trip for this year. We spent the weekend with friends (who camped next door to us). There was great food grilled, Smores were made, seashells were found, pictures were taken, fun was had, and memories were made. More Photos are in the Members Area. ...

Oh...ya know...the usual...kids hanging out in their rooms and Breann doing the teenage stuff...like straightening her hair (the life of a teenager, right?!?). And...the not so usual, but new routine this evening? Playing with the kitten. Bre just got her this evening, and is still trying to think of a name for her. ...

Starting to put together my very first scrapbook. I love my digital images, but I want some of them in print too! This scrapbook will be of last year's images and will include images that are really special to me, including: an "In Remembrance" page for my Mom (as she passed away last year due to many years of battling COPD), our camping...
THIS...today, I will dwell on this! For all of us who are having a hard day, a difficult start to this week...this says it all. Even when we don't understand things, if we look to Jesus we will find peace. Sometimes not understanding things that happen in life is not a good feeling, but the Lord tells us we don't have to have...

In Children's Church, Troy's class studied Genesis 1 today. To go along with their study they planted flowers. He gave the flowers he planted to me. Such a neat project for them! :) And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that...

I'm excited that we're able to work on the photo album this weekend that will include our photos from our vacation and mine and Justin's Anniversary trip to Destin, FL. that we took last month. This album will hold a huge story of our trip. From our walks on the beach to us appreciating the view from our room's balcony... From the different...
This evening we celebrated one of my best friends birthday at the Mexican restaurant. We had a great time celebrating Barb's birthday this evening! This post is also in the Members Area. ...
It's a new day, a new morning, and as I sit here listening to April showers outside, I'm studying the Bible Reading Plan that I am doing. Today's study talks of how we are supposed to make the Lord first in our lives. We're supposed to remove whatever is our first priority (if it's not God already), and place God there. Our real...

While I work later this afternoon, I've enjoyed a day of doing laundry, a bit of photography, studying the Bible Reading Plan that I've recently started, and I even had soup and salad for lunch (yes, a week and a half later, I'm still eating healthy after starting the Insanity exercise program that I'm doing with my husband most evenings throughout the week)....

This Easter weekend has been filled with family, friends, laughter, smiles, and Jesus. It's been filled with memories of Easters past and new memories have been made. My heart is happy! This Easter, I remembered past Easters from when I was a kid when I would hunt Easter eggs with my cousins at my Granny's house. I also remembered when my parents and...
