The verse we're sharing for thought today is Galatians 3:26, and how blessed we are to be children of God! Here is a lockscreen to go along with the verse we're sharing today. Save the lockscreen below, and enjoy! :)
This month has been a busy one. Last week was no different! My husband had some traveling he had to finish up for work last week.
Our Troy broke his tooth last Friday and we had to get it fixed. Yuck! Thankfully, he wasn't in pain, and it is fixed now.
There have been other things to happen as well...
Like, working on the farm, there were baby check-ups to do...
A great friend brought us some flowers to plant.
And, we've been thankful for the slow mornings, where we made time to gather around the table for breakfast and conversation.
I'm also so very happy that the flower Breann gave me is still doing so well. It sits beautifully on our kitchen cabinets.
So, you see, life has been that. It's been life. There have been some really tough moments, like our son breaking his tooth, but there have been some super great moments as well, like when our friend brought us flowers to plant in our flower garden. I love this journey I'm on, and I love the people I share this journey with.
Here are a few more photos from our week...
May 18th, 2016: Because breakfast!
May 25th, 2016: It's going to be a full day with work and errands to run, so I'm starting out this day with a good cup of coffee and a doughnut, and there is barbecue ribs in the crockpot for dinner.
See that window in our door...
Through that window right there, if you look really hard, you will see blooms. That's our blackberry bushes. It's been raining here, but as with clouds comes the rain, with clear beautiful blue skies comes the sunshine. And with rain and sunshine working together we get beautiful things (like blackberry blooms)!
This reminds me of the chaos with life. Like Wednesday of last week...
I meant to wear a skirt to work on that day, but I couldn't find a shirt that went with it. It stormed most of the night, and I didn't sleep well. I lost my good pen at work (but I found it after about a hour of searching for it). Someone asked me earlier that day (while I was searching for that pen), "One of those days, huh?" Yes, yes it was. I was determined not to let it be a bad day though. Some bad moments in a great day, but not a bad day. I am tremendously blessed. I have so much to be thankful for! I have a wonderful husband, two great kids, we have a great family and friends! The Lord is amazing. Our home is alive and well. So, I made it a great day!
You see, life is a lot like the weather. There are storms you have to weather in order to get to the sunshine, and with the sunshine comes those beautiful blooms (and, maybe even some blackberries).
While I had somewhat of a chaotic few moments...these have been my moments of sunshine over the past week...
I'm a photographer, it's a part of my being, it's a part of who I am. I document things, and I document life as it happens around me, as this is a part of our story. I believe once a moment passes, well, there is no getting that moment back, and that makes the photos and the videos that we take that much more precious...those tell our story.
That's why when I get my Clients orders complete I am so excited. I'm so happy to see the work that I do in my hands, and a part of their story in those products!
Anyhow, life has been, well, life. There's been exciting days, busy days, and relaxed days...
There's also been the kids' school stuff...like, Breann got an award from the School Board for winning first place at the FBLA State Competition. How cool is that?!?
There's also been work life. And, the girls at work and I got rewarded with a Spa Day.
I got my nails done with this fantastic color...
Then, Mother's Day was this past Sunday, and I got a new lens for my camera.
My daughter had to stay last week and help clean up after a pageant that was to help raise funds to her Nationals trip for FBLA. She found a flower laying in the floor during clean-up, and she brought it home and gave it to me. It's fitting that it was Mother's Day weekend too! She's got such a big heart.
I'm so blessed to be their Mom!
And, this...this was Mother's Day!
This weekend, we went to the lake. We camped for two nights and three days. We had grilled food, fun on the water, the kids played cards, we shared laughter and conversation, and we made memories. Here are some of the photos and a video that we captured during our moments in time while we were there, from me folding laundry, getting ready to pack up to go camping to our many adventures on the water and camping. Take a look!
