The kids' Cross Country Meet for District was this evening. Troy got 11th and Bree got 7th place. Troy brought home a ribbon and Bree brought home a medal. While I am happy with their accomplishments, I found even more that made me even happier this evening...like the way Bree prayed before she ran, the way they were so happy for each other's accomplishments, and the way the whole team encouraged each other. It was also great they each got awards, and it was awesome to see how happy all of the kids were at each of their own accomplishments. From hugs from their parents to some of the kids calling their family to share the news of their accomplishments...such great stuff! I'm such a happy Mom! :)
It's Monday morning, it's sweater weather, there's coffee in my cup, and the pumpkins we bought yesterday evening are on our porch. Happy Monday!
This Sunday morning I find myself in the kitchen, listening to Worship music, making homemade pancakes, and having coffee out of one of my new favorite coffee cups. I've got a sick girl this morning, and both of our kids have woken with a terrible cough. When I walked in our girl's room though to see if she was feeling better, and she said she still felt sick, then I asked if she'd like pancakes for breakfast, and she asked me if I would make her favorite kind of pancakes...my homemade ones, I knew she was at least on the road to feeling better. From soup for yesterday's supper to homemade pancakes for today's breakfast...I think we're on the right track!
This one celebrated her first birthday with a Peter Rabbit birthday party.

They may be a little bit ugly, but they're pumpkins...
There are these knot/wart looking things all over the pumpkins, but they'll serve the purpose until we get some that are knot/wart free.
A pumpkin farmer stopped by where I work yesterday, and gave us these pumpkins. Kindness from the community...awesome stuff!
The sun is shining, I have a busy day planned, and one of our new photos is on my lockscreen. It's going to be a great day!
Happy Wednesday! :)
A Hot Ham and Cheese and tater tots for lunch with a piece of lemon cake too. Yummy goodness!
And...I'm working on this sweet set of photos sometime today as well from a birthday party we attended last weekend for our nephew's birthday.
A busy, but blessed Monday! :)
This, my friends, is my kind of cup! A really, really big cup of coffee, and photography themed. I'm loving it!
Happiness in a cup! :)
We're celebrating our nephew's birthday today. His 12th birthday! I'm so honored to be his aunt and to be able to take the photos of us celebrating this moment in his life!

Today, we are celebrating our boss at work for Boss' Day by making breakfast. So I'm up early baking biscuits and having coffee!
Happy, happy Friday! :)
She got 28th place out of around 50 some participants at her Cross Country Meet yesterday. Our son got 29th place out of around 30 some participants at his Cross Country Meet as well. My brother, his wife, and their son watched our kids as they ran. I'm glad our kids have that sense of family, and that we have that sense of family. The family that's our blood, and the family through friendship, each is a blessing!
While there's not a lot of quiet moments in our house, it's been more quiet than usual for the past few days. My awesome husband has been out of town, and is now returning home today, which I am pretty excited about!
I'm such a blessed girl! An awesome husband, a great son, and this amazing girl for my daughter. May I never take them for granted. I'm thankful! :)
Today's Bible Reading...
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? -Micah 6:8 (KJV)
To walk humbly with God...that's what I want to do with everything that I do...from being a wife to being a mom to being a friend...I want everything I do to reflect the Lord. May I always follow His way!
There is nothing to me like the library. I love it! I guess, part of the reason why is because I'm a huge reader...I love books! So...today has included some great things! It's a warm Fall day, and I made a trip to the library.
And...totally off topic, but something to think about anyhow...in my Bible Reading today...
Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it. -Proverbs 11:27 (ESV)
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. -Proverbs 11:27 (KJV)
While there are many troubles in this world, there is still good in life...and I'm thankful for the many blessings that the Lord blesses me with. May He use me for good purposes in this life as well.
My Monday Motivation...
Although I do laundry a few times a week, as our boy was getting ready to leave for school, he said, "Mom, do the laundry today, ok?" I guess there's something in these piles he's needing, and it's laundry day. But...I MUST have my Monday morning coffee...it's a must...I also MUST complete this laundry. Check and check!
In my Bible Reading this morning:
Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded.
Proverbs 13:13 ESV
Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
Proverbs 13:13 KJV
Happy, happy Monday! :)
As you blow out your candles on your 15th Birthday cake (this year, your independent self even wanted to light your own candles)...as we celebrate 15 years of having you in our lives so far...as we celebrate the person you've become and the one you are becoming, I realize how blessed I am to be your Mom. I'm blessed that the Lord trusted me enough to take care of one of the greatest gifts that I could ever be given. As we celebrate your birthday and you are given gifts by many of our family and friends, know that I feel that I've been given one of the greatest gifts of all...you as my daughter.

I'm so excited to finally be starting on my scrapbook for this year. My goal is to fill it with all of the lovely photos and memories we've made in 2015!
A short day at work, and a day for hanging with the fam, hanging with our fur babies, and even a day for doing laundry.
Today, there is work, the kids school, and the regular to-do list around the house. This week, the kids have Homecoming Week at school (and today is Character Day). The kids also have a Cross Country Meet, and then once they get home it will be time to make sure that homework is done and that mouths have been fed. This morning though, I go into work late. This morning I am taking some quiet time with the Lord.
In my Bible reading today, I am reading how the Lord knows better than we do with everything. It's easy for us to think, yes, the Lord knows better than we do when things are going easy in our lives, but when things get hard, we sometimes don't understand the Lord's plan, but we still need to trust that He knows far better than we do what needs to happen with each and every situation in our lives.
Today's Bible Verse...
Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord,
Or as His counselor has taught Him? -Isaiah 40:13
Whether life is going great, or whether there is trouble in your day...the Lord knows about it, and He knows what to do, trust Him!
Scarves, fresh coffee, and reading this great Bible verse.
May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:5 ESV
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:5 KJV
Happy Tuesday!
A new week, and a new lockscreen (from She Reads Truth) on my phone!
Happy Monday! :)
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32 ESV
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32 KJV
Doing a little Bible reading before bedtime. This is what I came across.
All things were created by Him, and for Him. -Colossians 116:17
This tells me we were created for His purpose...not our own. Something for me to dwell on this work week. May it be to live for Him!
Jesus, family, Church, cinnamon rolls, coffee, scarves, and this on my heart...
The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. -Psalm 118:14
Happy Sunday!
Who ever said dogs and cats never get along?!?

Fresh baked cookies in the middle of my workday?!? I think so!! My guy bought me these! ♡
Happy Friday! ! :)
We have so much happening this month. From our daughter's birthday to a Halloween party, and even other birthdays of family and friends. October is going to be a busy month, and one worth celebrating.
Happy October! :)
