Love this verse! My Dad always told us it never did good to worry about anything. He taught us to trust the Lord. I'm reminded of him everytime I read this verse. He was such a wise man!
This verse was in my Bible reading today. I must admit, sometimes I don't do so well at not being anxious, and I used to be one to worry a lot...even over the smallest of things. My Dad and this verse always has told me I'm not supposed to worry though. I'm doing better at not being so anxious, and I don't worry over the smallest things like I used to. Instead, I have learned to put my trust in the One who controls it all. Admittedly, some days it seems easier said than done, but that's my own foolishness. God controls all things, and He does a far better job than I ever could.
Love this verse, and what it teaches me!
Love this! This was a part of my Bible Reading this morning. How fitting is it that tomorrow is when we have our day to rest and Worship the Lord! The Lord even rested on the 7th day. In such a busy and fast paced world, it's hard to find time to rest, but the Lord tells us to do so. If the Lord took a day to rest, I assure you we need the same.
In fact, I remember a time when a lot of businesses were closed on Sunday. Now, it seems there are more businesses open than closed. Then some wonder why the world is falling apart, why homes are breaking up, why there is so much chaos. One day out of 7 is supposed to be taken for rest, it's supposed to be used to reflect on what the Lord has did for us and give Him praise for it (which we should also do daily), and the 7th day isn't supposed to be used to try to get more done!
Honestly, if we do as the Lord says and take that day of rest, we are more productive throughout the week than if we work all 7 days. It's so very important to have that day of rest and worship the Lord all week long, but also find that we fill our seat on Sunday in Church. God's always, always, always there for us. It's way beyond time that His people start showing up for Him! The Lord tells us to assemble ourselves in His house. I feel our week goes so much better when we take our day of rest, and find that we fill our seats in our Lord's house.
This is such a great verse!
Happy Saturday!
Starting this work week off right! A chicken sandwich and waffle fries for lunch, and a cute new lock screen (thanks to She Reads Truth) on my phone. Happy Monday! :)
But this, y'all!
This little guy taught his Dad a neat trick to eat Oreos yesterday evening. Justin was mentioning the struggle of dunking the cookie in his milk. So...our son, being the clever one that he is, replied, "Why don't you just put a fork in the side of the Oreo?" Justin has since stated he likes Oreos that much more because of this neat idea! They're putting that idea to good use this evening too...the fork right in the cream of the cookie...easy for dunkin' cookies! :)
Love my fam! :)
Happy Weekend! It's been a busy week at home and at work. Jessica's Lil Moments is moving right along! From a new website design to diving right in and updating my price list (which is still in progress), it's been a busy week around here. While I love every minute of it, I'm excited for a relaxing weekend with the fam.
Happy Saturday, may you spend it with those who are the center of your world. That's for sure how I'm spending my weekend...with the ones who are the center of my world and tug at my heart strings daily.
Be blessed! :)

So a few nights ago we went to the fair. We had a great time! The kids rode all kinds of rides for hours and hours. We walked around, talked to friends, had great family time, and the kids even won goldfish...we actually came home with 3 goldfish that night! Some great memories were definitely made for our family, for our friends, and for our community. Here are those moments we turned into memories in the form of photos.

Our beautiful daughter in her Sunday dress. She's just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out. We're so happy she sung in Church today!
We also had grilled steak and chicken kabobs for dinner. Yummy goodness this Labor Day weekend!

Freshly Squeezed Lemonade from the flea market...it was a huge flea market, indeed! I may or may not have also gotten a ribbon potato. :)
We also went to an incredible Japanese Steakhouse this evening. It was yummy goodness! Justin, the kids, and I sat at the grill and watched our food be made. The fire, the entertaining cook, it was so fun! The cook even threw an egg at me, acting like it slipped out of his hands...good thing it was a plastic egg. The kids really had a good laugh out of that one!
It's been a great Saturday!
I'm scheduled to go into work late this morning, then it's a 3 day weekend for me! I'm celebrating with a big cup of coffee, dark nail polish on my toes (since Fall feels right around the corner), and by spending time with my Maisy. :)
Happy, happy Friday! :)
So this is what Bree's kitten does when the kids are at school. When she tires of playing, I find her here, laying on Troy's bed.
