Breann loves the homemade pancakes I sometimes make for breakfast. So, today I decided to treat the kids for breakfast! While I do okay with cooking, I'm not the best cook, and some things are like second nature to me, I guess making homemade pancakes is one of those things.
Sometimes the best days are getting off from work early, taking the kids out to lunch, then taking them to swim, and then coming home to a game of kickball (with them being the ones playing and me keeping score). This has been the absolute best part of my day!

For Father's Day he chose to eat out yesterday evening and then get ice cream with me and the kids after that. Today, he chose grilling out, and we might do Smores later. This photo was taken right before we went to Church this morning. He is not just this way on Father's Day though, he's this way everyday. He's always active in our family's life, and he helps me to make sure we find ourselves sitting in a Church seat with our children on Sunday mornings. He calls upon our kids to say grace at the dinner table, and he answers their questions about the Lord. For this and many other reasons I am thankful, and I realize I'm incredibly blessed to share life as well as children with my husband. Happy Father's Day, Justin! I love you more than you'll ever know!
Oh, and yeah, this weekend we're keeping some of our best friends' dog, Neyla. Today is Father's Day. It's been celebrated the way Father's Day should. We've went to church and worshipped our Heavenly Father, I've recalled memories of my Dad, and we've celebrated my husband on this day. We've grilled out and had lots of family time. As you can see in this picture, Neyla demonstrates what this Sunday has been about. Relaxing and lighting the grill for some steaks...Happy Father's Day!

We're Pet Sitting this week for some family and friends. I've decided since we have 2 new dogs around, I'll do a photo series. "A Photo a Day, While My Family is Away." This should be interesting! I also have this on my Photography Blog!
When my kids bring me flowers they pick from our fields...this makes me smile even more than the store bought ones! I love these kids so very much!!
I do not have a "green thumb." I started noticing the petals falling off of these flowers the kids gave me for Mother's Day. I thought these flowers were dying, even though I was trying my very best to keep them alive. This morning as I was sitting having my morning coffee, I noticed the flowers are blooming again, and now new flowers are on these plants! :)
The kids last day of the school year was yesterday. How do we celebrate the beginning of their Summer Break? With a cookout at the lake, and with watermelon, games of Corn Hole, swimming, and Smores! Let the Summer begin!
Here's to lazy days outside napping, fun filled nights with Smores, and here's to making even more memories with family and friends. The kids last day of the school year is today. It's hard to believe we now have a 9th and a 7th grader! We are so blessed to be their parents though. Now, we're ready for Summer to begin!
He got the A & B Honor Roll Award and an award for passing all SOLs.

We brought these beautiful flowers in from our flower garden. They are now sitting on our window sill.
